After the recent visit by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) for the area where I live, "the city of Ma’an," on 10 \ 9 \ 2009, having provided grants for the youth of our city, and persons with special needs, I realized that there are institutions in the world should realize that of responsibility on providing assistance to people in need, I do not mean just (USAID), but all the global institutions that seek to create better opportunities for young people in developing countries, and to assist in the process of community development and to create opportunities for a better life.

Long time ago, I am interested in the activities (USAID), and assistance provided by the different regions, projects and grants and aid, and I follow also changes the positive effects of these projects in targeted areas, and I liked them so much, they feel it was their responsibility to assist countries in the world, in spite of that this assistance provides optional, and no one can force them out.
(USAID) American organization, in the minds of everyone they represent the U.S. government, the mental picture most of us, that the U.S. role in the region very negative - from the attention of the people - where almost all sure that there is a U.S. bias with Israel and the United States of America is always against Islam and Muslims describe the terrorists, so that the United States are almost unwelcome Arabs and Muslims at all.
Currently I am very confused about the nature of the U.S. role in the region, as mentioned previously there have a big role in supporting development projects, youth projects, and assist in the progress and development of societies, And On the other side have a role in the current Arab situation, especially in Palestine and the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and seek to create a new war with both Iran and Syria, And always use the veto in the Security Council against Arabs and Muslims, and there are a lot of Arab organizations, which have been popular, placing them on terrorist lists, without knowing the criteria that they adopt in the classification of terrorism, leaving the Western organizations think Arabs with terrorism, without according to them is a terrorist.
When I read the slogan which carried by Grant of U.S. "Grant from the American people", I started to think, Do the American people gives grants from his money to other countries in the world? Are the American people is different from those who represent them in government? Do we make a mistake in judging of this state? Do we use our emotions when the judge and not our minds? And what is the idea of a U.S. citizen held about Arabs and Muslims? Do American people believe that we live in isolation from the world? And how Muslims live in the U.S.? Are they getting the full rights? Do you allow them to practice their religion? Are they subjected to harassment?
These questions certainly can not get a convincing answer them and I’m in Jordan. But logically, the good and evil are not they are together at the same time!! It will come out of two conclusions:
First: We judge too hastily to the American people, and they are a peaceful people, and seeks peace, and respect for others and their beliefs, and to treat is based on fact and convincing reasons, in their view at least.
Second: The current idea is correct, but if this idea is correct why give all this support for developing countries? Is it the concept of a purely humanitarian?
After President Obama’s speech in Cairo, I think there is a change in U.S. policy to improve the U.S. image among the Muslims about it, and change the hatred to accept the others … I think if we visits the United States and deal directly with people to change our view of them, and this is what I expect and I cannot confirm it, I actually have not visited America.

No one can deny that recently there is a change in U.S. policy to change the image of America in the minds of Arabs and Muslims, but in limited areas such as contributing to the development of communities and create better opportunities in developing countries…
It is expected to be in a larger scale and be more comprehensive from the superpower country like the United States, and expected an organization such as (USAID) have a greater impact on her country’s policy, equivalent to their role in community development … To be effective and influential…
This is my opinion as a citizen Muslim Arab lives in one of the countries impacted by the policy of the United State…..

I think the U.S. feels that its duty as a bone in the world to provide assistance to other peoples.
But I wonder: What do Muslims and Arabs in the U.S.?
A question that needs to be answered already

man man man, listen to my comment and dont judge me at once first of all, i agree that we do judge people without any considerations to any other factors like to be neutral by any mean,, but that is not the case that we can easily generalize it to all Arab..
anas: it’s true and it is a fact that the whole world is deceived by the new American administration by Mr.Obama.. and i have proofs to provide: Mr.Obama said nothing to condemn Israeli’s invasion on Gaza killing thousands of Palestinians. Mr.Obama promised to close Guantanamo and yet still it is open torturing lots of prisoners..
anas: and violating all articles of the "so called" human rights declaration. last but not least, America still have forces in Iraq, they INVADED Iraq , not Liberating it as they claim, and yet there is one hundred thousand US.
anas: Soldier in Iraq. so i don’t agree with that America is mis-judged,, because they deserve that kind of judgment that they caused by themselves and no one noooo one mis judged them,, they are the occupier of Iraq and they are the one who support Israel ,
anas: so yes I AM AGAINST THE USA AND I AM AGAINST ISRAEL AND EVERYONE WHO SUPPORT THEM.. i know you are one of the rare people who i admire Abed… but my friend,, i disagree with you.. thank you for the great article, and looking forward to read more from you peace

Frankly, I’ve read a lot of the reasonable questions in your blog ,
This is an arguable and debating subject ,
but I have a question could clarify the issue :
what about establishing some NGO’s to help people there, I mean in US,
is that a commonsense ??
You could find my question out of the mode!!
But for me I find this Down-Top approach a good way to analyze….
I believe that the relation between the countries is governed by the mutual benefits and interests .
This progress is a need in our developing countries, while it is recorded and counted for them at the international standards .I believe ..
This is does not mean that there is no embedded reasons somewhere and somehow!!!!But in my opinion, this is Legitimate ,even as a human, to be the dominant and spread your thoughts ,this is found among whole civilizations, but at the end of the day it should be our decision how to deal with it according to the ”theory of mutual interests
